with the middle of a side coincident with an end-point of a centerline.
Within are five green circles with a radius half that of circle 1,
one concentric with it,
the other four with their centers at the intersections of the centerlines and the dividing lines.
Five : With Five, we take a quantum leap into Life!
The ancients did not recognize a fourth physical dimension (which we label time); recognizing a radically different direction from the preceding four, they saw Five as generating life itself.
Whether in the fiveness of human hands and feet,
or the quintessence of the philosophers,
Five transforms the physiosphere into the biosphere.
According to some sages,
the five-pointed star is the symbol of enlightenment.
Symbol of excellence and authority,
Five may read as representing the principle of evolution itself.
It reminds me of Chokmah, primordial Force.
As Fibonacci spirals, the phi ratio is found everywhere:
in the number of petals in a flower,
buds on a stem,
keys on the piano,
and in human proportions from DNA up.
The ratio shows itself in pineapples and fir cones, weather patterns, sunflowers, chambered shells, galaxies, and whirlpools.
Reconciling the clash of opposites into counterbalancing spirals at higher levels,
the phi proportion is the unique example of a self-replicating ratio, illustrating the part/whole relationship par excellence.
You are the center, and from within, you are able to take the steps necessary to see out.
