This is one small part of an old Hawaiian prayer that called to the gods and goddesses for healing.  In this prayer, we call to the gods and goddesses to show us where we need to correct our thinking, correct our way of living, so that we can find solutions to our problems, and find healing in our bodies and our relationships:

O ke kahuna i ka puoko a ke ahi.

O 'imi, o loa'a, o loa'a ho'i ka hala uku,

Nana o kono e haele,

E Hele no a miliu mai a.

Eia  ka leo la, he kanaenae aloha na'u na (inoa)

Eia ka pilikia la (ho'ike a'e)

'Eli 'eli kapu, 'eli'eli noa.

Noa ke ku, noa ka hele

Calling the priestess in the pillars of fire.

Seek and find, find my fault, that I may atone;

the fault that turned me away from thee.

The sacredness has been profound, it is now freed.

Freed that I may stand, freed that I may walk,

freed by the decree of the gods.

 

"There were many gods associated with healing:

Ma'iola, who brought life (ola) out of sickness (ma'i)

There was the god Mauliola,

whose similar name meant "Breath of Life",

Women had recourse to Hi'iaka i ka poli o Pele,

who was considered physician to the family of Pele,

and to Haumea, the earth mother,

who guarded the women in childbirth.

Hauwahine, the mo'o (water creature goddess)

warded off sickness.

Uli, the High goddess of sorcery,

could be called on in life-giving resuscitation.

Lono, Ku and Hina, and to some extent Kane,

would remain through generations

the constantly invoked gods of medicine.

Lono, because he caused all plants to grow,

remained supreme: the Hawaiian Hippocrates

of the healing kahuna.

Ku and Hina continued to symbolize

the balance embodied in well being.

For Ku was maleness; and Hina was female.

Ku was erect, Hina was supine.

Ku was East, the morning,

and Hina was West the evening.

Ku was the external factor, Hina was the internal.

Ku was the right side and the right hand,
Hina, the left."

Aloha in the Hawaiian sense actually refers to “a sharing of joyful energy within the present moment.” In other words, it’s about being “happy with” yourself and others. And the degree to which you can do this is the degree that you are able to share love.

Here, love is considered an active thing – a joyful energy that is passed between the participants.

Certainly the energy that is shared between ourselves and others is influenced by the focus of our thoughts.

So, how exactly, can we focus our thoughts to support loving relationships?

Here are 5 ways that were shared with me some time ago through the teachings of Serge King:

1. Focus on the positive qualities in yourself and others. That increases confidence. Focus on the positive benefits of the relationship(s). That increases harmony.

2. When your focus is continually drawn to past events (especially if they were unhappy,) or future events, the love is diminished. Know that love is created anew, each moment, every day. Focus your attention in the moment.

3. By blessing – that is, giving and receiving praise, acknowledgement and appreciation – love is increased. Love is decreased by the separation caused from judgment and criticism. Remember to bless often.

4. When you regularly focus to acknowledge your own source of power, your Spirit, you generate more confidence and harmony from within. That increases your loving interactions with others. Choose to focus on Spirit more often.

5. When you use loving means, such as loving combinations of words, images, feelings and actions that bring harmony within your relationships, love is increased. If you want a loving outcome, use loving means.

There you have it. It’s so very simple and yet so powerfully effective. Yet, I must admit that it’s not always easy. I’m sure you often catch yourself, like I do, acting from old negative programming rather than from these concepts…

However, as Loving Relationships become more and more a priority, our focus makes it possible for us to adopt these as a “way of life” rather than as tools we happen to use when we remember.

Lomilomi comes from the aina, (land), and there are many meanings and styles of Hawaiian healing called lomilomi. All of them are a form of prayer, connecting to a higher source for healing.

In today’s world, lomilomi from all lineages and traditions is a fundamental tool for serving the spirit of aloha.

Temple Lomilomi offers the receiver the empowerment of being a temple, and taking on the responsibility of committing to the spiritual practice of loving one’s self as a path to enlightenment.

'The Way of Aloha' is a practice that emphasizes acceptance, forgiveness and cooperation through the development of spiritual awareness.

It is the cultivation of Mana (divine inner-power), friendship and unity, a very real and easily integrated practice of skills that allows the individual to explore existing personal realities while simultaneously immersing oneself in the ethic of true acceptance.

Aloha Mana means, "Miracle Love." Aloha mana is our birth right.

Mana is the principle of divine inner power that is essential to the Aloha philosophy. It encompasses the idea that each one of us has the authority to think for ourselves and live our own truth.

Kahi Loa means "Infinite Oneness".

'The Way of Aloha' is a path of love, harmony and appreciation for the beauty in all things and it is only available in the eternal moment of manawa (now).

Aloha is pure joy.

Aloha is the wondrous rhythm of Life, as well as the Spirit in and behind all Creation.

Please take a moment now and just say the word slowly:
A-lo-ha. Say it again even more slowly: A-L-O-H-A. Taste it in your heart, and feel it in your body!

What if you close your eyes and feel your energy change as you say it a few more times, letting it in while breathing deeply for one full minute can change your day, your mood and your life.

Feel the warm loving feeling this generates--the sun is shining in your heart! This is the great gift of Aloha. Enjoy!

What if our time is NOW? The world we know is ending. The world we want is coming. Anything held in the NOW is not going to last. We shall all meet at the end in love.

Halau U'hane Lomilomi Lapa'au has a mission to trance the world into Aloha plenty!

Connect with the mystical ways of nature, with the awareness of deep listening, keen observance and attentiveness, for co-creating a desired life.

Halau is Hawaiian word meaning a school, academy, or group. A space for creating knowledge. Literally, the word means "a branch from which many leaves grow." The guardians of the Halau (helper spirits), are all forces for good, gathering to assist us in our healing and awakening.

U'hane is Hawaiian word meaning "Spirit" or the conscious intent of a community. The esoteric spirit of Aloha is sharing the living breath of God, the spark within each person, the ‘I Am’ presence, the pure light of being. This is known in Christian cultures as the Holy Spirit (Sacred Breath). Through Aloha, the Hawaiians recognize all of life, every seed and vine, every leaf and every rain drop, every mountain and every waterfall, every person and every thing as sacred because all is permeated with Aloha.

Lomilomi means "shift". Healing requires a change in the existing belief system. Shift your energy into what is possible. EMPOWERING THE GOD WITHIN. Lomilomi comes from the " 'aina", the land, and is a form of prayer, connecting to a Higher Source for healing.

Raised to the level of spiritual healing, in today’s world, lomilomi from all lineages and traditions is a fundamental tool for serving the spirit of Aloha. Lomilomi offers the receiver the empowerment of taking on the responsibility of committing to the spiritual practice of loving one’s self as a path to enlightenment. Instead of seeing God as a force outside of us, the Hawaiians see God as a force that resides within each of us. This Divine Light ‘within’ produces health, wealth and happiness ‘without’.

Lapa'au means "healing". Say to yourself, "By the authority of my soul, I claim healing." Healing is the deep recovery of the whole or integrated person, a person living the intention of the Creator: living in joy, abundance and laughter.

Uncle Harry says, ‘Grace is the inalienable right of all beings to receive the light of God, the inalienable source of all healing. Grace is absolutely free, you don’t have to do anything to get it, just acknowledge the authenticity of who you are."

Consciously hold with acceptance the capacity to generate currents of love.

The powerful wisdom shared in the sacred circles infuses everyone present with profound healing vibrations for creating the life they want most to live. Circle cultures claim their own authority and power, navigating with the HEART, instead of negotiating with the mind.

Create a sphere of Divine Light, "Kaleilei", where conscious, unconscious and super-conscious come together.

Start fresh. Ho'oponopono is the willingness to swim in the center of the current; even at the cost of giving up what we thought was important.

Ho'oponopono resolves what is, and moves you forward. Move past boundaries. Many profound things to consider about forgiveness and the metaphysics of how it actually takes place.

The foundation of all healing is born of forgiveness.

Expand your perspective and be released from the bondage of resentment and judgment. Do not take on problems. Forgiveness does not mean you have to give in and return to abuse. This kind of forgiveness will sever you from what was causing the abuse in the first place.

Unforgiveness keeps us in a trance state of unfulfillment.

In order for us to receive more of what we really want, we must willingly cultivate the ancient law of “Grace receiving Gratitude,” becoming authentically grateful for all that has been given us, and surrendering to receive more Grace, naturally to return gratitude.

In the kahuna tradition, words are intended to rearrange energy. This chant carries a lot of mana (power, life force energy) and provides spiritual uplifting. Today, the Hawai'ian people continue to chant E Ku Mau Mau with an understanding of kaona (hidden, double meaning). This chant brings us together and asks us to work together to accomplish our goals.

The foundation of all healing is born of forgiveness. No healing can actually take place without letting go of limiting concepts and mind structures that release, resolve and dissolve the bondage of resentment and judgement.

HALAU UHANE LOMILOMI LAPA'AU

Hawai'ian four elements of the mind

"Divine Creator or Divine Intelligence – first of four elements of the mind, also known as the source or the creator within us and as the " 'omaka " in the Hawaiian language, which means "the source".

Super conscious mind – second of four elements of the human mind that sits below the Divine Creator and above the conscious mind, and the subconscious mind. Also known as the spirit or Holy Ghost in Christianity, or the Father. In the Hawaiian language it is called the " 'aumakua " which means, "across all time and space."

Intellect or conscious mind – third of four elements of the human mind that sits below the super consciousness and above the subconscious. It is also known as the mental part of the mind, or, as the Mother aspect of the mind. The Hawaiian language word is " 'uhane " which means "soul."

Subconscious mind – fourth of four elements of the human mind that sits directly below the conscious mind, also known as the child aspect of the mind (see Inner Child Meditation above). In the Hawaiian language it is called the " 'unihipili ". The subconscious mind is where all memories or data are stored or where problems are found."

Hawai'ian Secret

As a word in Hawaiian, ka huna actually means "the secret."

Interestingly, this particular word has the connotation of something hard to see, not something intended to be kept hidden.

The process itself is described in the Hawaiian proverb,
Makia ke ali'i, ehuehu ka ukali :
literally, "concentration is the chief, energy is the follower".

With a deep knowledge and understanding of Hawaiian culture, a Kahuna laʻau kahea is a respected healer who heals with words.

Hoʻoponopono techniques create a working partnership among the parts of the mind or self:

1. The High Self (Kane, Aumakua), inspires.
2. The Conscious Self (Lono) imagines.
3. The Subconscious Self (Ku) remembers.
4. The Core Self (Kanaloa) wills.

About CLEARING YOURSELF of limiting beliefs quickly.
About FREEING YOURSELF from your past quickly.
About MOVING FORWARD in your life and leaving the old baggage behind quickly.
About OPENING YOURSELF UP to all the possibilities all around you quickly.

One nice thing about the Hawaiian version of the secret is that it includes specific instructions for putting it into practice. These instructions can be found in the roots of a little-understood Hawaiian word, haipule.

It's original meaning as a whole word was based on the word hai (to offer) plus pule (prayer, blessing, spell).

Haipule is an Hawaiian word which means "to dream a new life or reality into being."
That is, haipule is a term relating to a process for making good things happen.

The actual process describe four ways to maintain a positive focus, which is the key ingredient of the secret.

Ha, meaning "life, breath, spirit."
Breathe deeply and get emotionally excited while thinking about what you want, or at least feel as positive and happy as you can. When you lose your focus, breathe deeply to get back into the present and start over.

I, meaning "to speak."
Speak the words that describe what you want, aloud or silently. When you find yourself speaking negative words related to what you want, stop, breathe, and go back to saying what you want instead.

Pu, meaning "to issue forth, to appear like smoke."
This is a poetic description of imagination. Imagine what you want in as much sensory detail as you can. When you find yourself imagining what you don't want, stop, breathe, and imagine what you want again.

Le, a short form of lele meaning, basically, "to move."
Whenever you are thinking or speaking about what you want, assume a positive posture and move in confident ways. When you find yourself feeling depressed, helpless or disillusioned in relation to what you want, stop, take a deep breath, and change your posture or the way you move into a more positive and confident mode.

You don't have to do everything every time you think of what you want, but each method reinforces the other and helps you to maintain your positive expectation.

Expand and enrich your life.

So that's it. The secret is out.

Or, as the ancient Hawaiians would have said,
Ahuwale ka nane huna :
"That which was a secret is no longer hidden"

Flower of Life

The fourth step in the Flower of Life is the first step in multiplication.

From the Kahuna we see that it represents 'Ha' which means four and also means breath.

Egyptian myth indicates this to be the solar plexus.

Notice the vesica pisces which appears obvious as the fourth step is developed.

The pentagonal DNA strands begin to appear.

The number four is the first result of multiplication.

Heart chakra energy has two distinct characteristics,

that of the heart as we know it (lower heart),

and that of the thymus (upper heart),

which is the electromagnetic energy surrounding the heart

and extending into the fifth power.

The two are reciprocating as they function together.

Ancient Kanaka Maoli wisdom from Hawai’i teaches that anything that comes to our attention is our responsibility. Anything that may be considered as negative can be cleared with the four phrases above.

By clearing any negative vibrations that may be attached to any person, place or thing, these four phrases can also attract positive vibrations to every area of your life.

The fun part is ... you are saying the phrases to yourself to clear whatever is happening inside you that resonates with any problem that comes to your attention.

I can easily wrap my heart and mind around the idea that I can always ask forgiveness for whatever part I have contributed to any problem.

You will discover that saying the phrases makes you happy.

And I believe that unhappiness is the only problem.

You can say them in any order. Use different tones of voice. Get creative. Have fun.

For example:
Recently a check out person at WholeFoods was really grumpy and rude to us. On the way out the door, my daughter says, "I am sorry that checker was so rude." "Please forgive me for having to interact with such a rude person." "Thank you so much that the rudeness was left behind." " I love us because we are clearing the negative energy instead of getting mad."

or

The first day of our vacation at Harstine, my daughter called from home saying that she had accidently locked her keys in the car and AAA wouldn't come if I wasn't there. The car was in the driveway of our home, but of course the spare key was no where to be found. I was very stressed and frustrated when I hung up the phone.....not the way I wanted to start my vacation.....and once again, my other daughter chimes in, "I am sorry". Then I immediately joined in with "Please forgive me." "I love you." "Thank you." And we were laughing as we said it again..... and again..... and just one more time for emphasis!

Especially now with all the troubling news about politics, the economy, and natural disasters, this is a very useful, positive way to contribute to the possibility of a solution instead of staying stuck in the problem.

For example:
Say to yourself with Sarah in mind, "I am sorry. Please forgive me. I love you. Thank you." (IT WORKED!)

Say to yourself with the stock market in mind, " I am sorry. Please forgive me. I love you. Thank you."

Say to yourself with Hurricane Katrina in mind, "I am sorry. Please forgive me. I love you. Thank you."

Remember ... you are saying the phrases to yourself to clear whatever is happening inside you that resonates with any problem that comes to your attention.

The next time something happens that would normally create a negative emotion or response, pause and say,

I am sorry.
Please forgive me.
I love you.
Thank you.

ARCH and Hawaiian Wisdom

Reiki has been called the Emerald Ray because it operates out of the heart chakra (it's traditional color is green). ARCH, the acronym for Ancient Rainbow Conscious Healing, is the next step beyond Reiki. ARCH uses the full spectrum and encompasses all of the rays. It has the ability to heal instantaneously and resonates at a high frequency.

Not only does it use all the frequencies, but also it first works on the unconscious level, which is where people hold onto blockages that stop complete healing from happening. Then it works on the conscious level and ultimately on the Higher Divine Self.

Hawaiian Wisdom teaches about these three levels of increasingly higher life-force energy called mana (which heals the subconscious) mana mana (which heals the conscious), and mana loa (which heals the divine conscious).

When the mana is strong and people accept themselves as the powerful beings that they are - all things are possible.

CIRCLE OF LOVE
This is a blessing and a prayer of forgiveness that I have humbly adapted from ancient Kanaka Maoli wisdom.

KA LEI ALOHA CIRCLE OF LOVE KA LEI ALOHA
Ho’oponopono recognizes the negative situation and then moves past it to the positive benefit of the lesson learned from the experience, re-establishing health and balance. Balance is restored to the individual first and then throughout all of creation.

Ho’o means ‘to cause’ in Hawaiian and ponopono means ‘perfection’.
Pono means to ‘make right’, to ‘rectify an error’ or to ‘restore balance and harmony to all’.
Being restored to pono means being right with ourselves, each other and all things.

Visualize clear blue sky to allow your mind to settle and rest…..or just allow relaxation to spread throughout your body. As you relax……. move the energy in your body into harmony, happiness, and gratitude.

Imagine breathing slowly and easily ……….in and out through your heart………imagine your breath glows with white light……and fills your body with each inhale………radiating out from each and every cell……… containing all the colors of the rainbow …….

Be relaxed centered and peaceful. Release and dissolve any holding or tension. Allow this sense of relaxation to wash over you……… allowing love and joy and laughter to flow freely………… learn easily…… know what you know.

Ho – pay attention.

Aloha…aloha…___...___...Nui…Nui…___...___.

Now creating space to breathe….. inhale for the count of 4….. hold it to the bottom of your lungs for a count of 4..... exhale out to the sound of HA.....UH …… the breath begins and gathers power in the solar plexus…the belly….echoes and moves through the heart, then into the throat where it becomes spoken….HA..UH ….exhale to the count of 4………and hold for 4 counts.

PIKO PIKO…inhale in through your naval…na’au …..exhale out through your heart…pu’uwai….allow light to move through your body….
Inhale in through the top of your head… …and exhale out through the bottom of your feet.

And as you breathe... release any tension... any stress from any part of your body...heart… mind... any thoughts, memories and feelings... just let them go....dissolve and disappear… ......exhale with complete relaxation….. Perhaps even making a gentle “ha-a-a-a” sound, releasing all your muscles in a big sigh………… HAAAA……UHHHH….

Allow your awareness to rise above your head into your creative resourceful state above……….

As you breathe allow yourself to begin to experience a deep state of relaxation and …… begin experiencing your own internal power.

Experience how the energy in your body seemingly slows down while you exhale.

Now, as you inhale slowly, send your awareness deep down into the Earth below you, as if you have grown roots, down to the center of the Earth. Allow the power and resources you find there to travel up your roots. Allow this energy to enter through the bottom of your feet, easily moving up through your legs; up through your tailbone, filling your belly, moving through your heart, up through your throat, filling your whole head….front…..back ….and center………Take a moment to imagine every cell of your body completely filled with this energy,…….. opening easily and effortlessly, Again inhale slowly, and think of the sky above you and send your awareness high above your head – as if you have sprouted wings and now can fly far out into the universe………….

Imagine you follow a ray of light back…….. and allow yourself to be filled with this beautiful light through the top of your head……. now......

……Inhale in through the top of your head… …and exhale out through the bottom of your feet………. allowing light to move through your body.. warm energy that sends out rays of warmth and healing that penetrates every fiber of your being. …….. It is warming, relaxing, and healing at the deepest level of your being. ……

Feel the warmth spreading throughout ….. These rays are warming you, healing you, penetrating and joining with all that is you...Now imagine that these deeply warmly relaxing rays are tapping the powers of the universe and are healing and soothing your spirit, mind, and body. ….

experience it, see it, feel it flowing through your body and mind….literally cleaning house…re-arranging your thoughts into a pattern that allows you to become a part of your new future that is light and joyful…

Move that white light down through your body….filling your entire body with that bright white light….feel the energy come all the way down through your body until all of your parts….. mental, emotional and physical…. are aligned…..
